Triumph Over Breast Cancer Benefit Raises over $30,000 for Tri-City Medical Center's Women's Diagnostic Center

Carlsbad, Calif. --  Thursday night's cocktail reception fundraiser benefiting Tri-City Medical Center’s Women’s Diagnostic Center was a rousing success. The event raised over $30,000 for the fight against breast cancer. The Triumph Over Breast Cancer Benefit and Auction, held at the beautiful La Costa Resort and Spa, brought together celebrity guests and players including French Open finalist Sam Stosur and three-time Grand Slam champion Lindsay Davenport. As in previous years, tennis hall-of-famer Pam Shriver was the emcee of the night, auctioning off items via silent and live auctions. Proceeds from this event will fund the most advanced technology for minimally-invasive, highly accurate breast biopsies. This equipment will allow Tri-City Medical Center to bring the treatment of breast cancer to a new level for the women of our community.
